When did you start your business?

Doheny Board Center/DBc Ride Shop opened in July 1997.

Do you consider the location of your shop a key factor to the business’s success?

Yes that is why we are moving from the Surf Ghetto to downtown San Clemente.

Who is your average buyer?

8 years old to 48 years old with extra lunch money.

If a total Barney walks in do you treat him with the same respect as a full on loc?

Of Course.

Do you have a mascot (ex. - An animal that roams freely throughout the building)?

Yes, "Wee Man".

What is the craziest return a customer has ever tried to make?

A lady came in with a snapped surfboard and said her son didn't like it anymore.

Does your store support any local surfers or have a surf team?

We support BAM's middle school and San Clemente High surf team.

What is your most annoying grom story?

I like the groms.

Have you ever had any type of celeb roll in and make a purchase?

Larry H.Parker, Ryan Stiles, Ed Begley, Jr., and Paul Walker.

Have you ever pulled a hot chick/guy solely due to the fact that you own/manage a surf shop?

No.

How many days a week do you surf now compared to before you owned/managed a surf shop?

The same,I do this so I can surf.

Who is your favorite surfer and why?

Kelly Slater because he surfs better than anyone else.

Has a customer trying on clothes ever walked out completely naked?

No.

Has a person ever walked in totally blitzkrieged (really intoxicated) and tried to make a purchase? If so elaborate.

Debbie came in the store and left to go to Mulligan's Bar and returned as Emma with a British accent.

Every store has to deal with shoplifting. What is your most memorable experience and what is your shoplifting policy?

It varies from case to case, but I hate liars and thieves.
